SurveyMonkey available to chapters through CCA

CCA Chapters can now make use of SurveyMonkey's "unlimited" options by way of the CCA Communciations Committee. This provides a much more useful tool for your local, as explained here in this Communications Committee PowerPoint presentation from the 2011 CCA Winter Conference: "SurveyMonkey: The Quest For Meaning In A World Gone Mad." Go ahead and download or view the file! This presentation explains in detail how you can benefit from this service. Access procedures are below.

How to Access SurveyMonkey through the CCA Communications Committee

  • Submit completed form with attached draft of question (at least 30 days prior to preferred start date of survey) to ccasurveys@gmail.com.
  • Chapter will receive a confirmation email upon receipt of survey; a member of CCA Communication Committee will then follow up with a brief review of the submitted questions.
  • Submitted questions may undergo some collaborative revision; a test version of the survey will then be made available to the survey requestor for approval.
  • Chapter will need to provide email addresses for survey recipients.
  • Once the survey and options have been approved, the survey will go live on the agreed upon date.
  • After the conclusion of the survey period, results will be disseminated to chapter president and requestor.

Spring conference presentation highlights use of video for reaching members

Reaching your members is not the same as it was for our predecessors. The Web is now the default information source, making a chapter website pretty much manadatory--but more than that, we have to stay reasonably current in offering that information in the ways most typical to the Web. This means its time to look at video as a communication and organizing tool for your chapter.

You can view or download the Reaching Members Via Technology PowerPoint from this presentation, as well as visit the TED Talk on "sixth sense technology" referenced in the presentation. TED is just a cool place to hang out and learn new things, anyway--so it's worth the trip!
