2010 NEA Pacific Regional Leadership Conference

March 19-21, 2010

The NEA Pacific Regional Leadership Conference (PRLC) is designed to further enhance the knowledge of K-12 teachers, education support personnel, higher education professionals, and student and retired members.

28th Annual Higher Education Conference: Joint Conference with
AFT Higher Education

March 26 - 28, 2010
Palace Hotel, San Francisco

NEA’s 28th annual higher education conference will take place as part of the Joint NEA-AFT Higher Education Conference in San Francisco, California. Leadership Day is Thursday, March 25th.

The conference theme, “Advancing Higher Education in Unpredictable Times,” reflects the volatility and impact of state, national, and international economic and political developments on our higher education institutions and workforce.  There will be three main workshop tracks: collective bargaining/union management, policy and public support, and teaching and learning/professional development.

2010 NEA Annual Meeting and Representative Assembly

The NEA Annual Meeting and Representative Assembly (RA) will be held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.  For additional information on the RA, click here.

Declaration of Candidacy forms must be submitted by no later than 5:00 P.M. on Friday, February 5 (special extended deadline).

Once a year in July, NEA holds its Annual Meeting, during which the Representative Assembly takes place. The RA is a gathering of educators from throughout the nation who meet to debate issues that impact American public education, to elect NEA top officers, and to set policy for the 3.2 million-member Association.
