Jessica Morris has been a part-time Counselor at
Mendocino College for nine years, and also serves as an
instructor in the Guidance Department. In addition, she
represents District A on the CCA Board of Directors.
Mendocino Part-time Faculty Association Quick Facts The
Mendocino Part-time Faculty Association serves as the
exclusive representative for all part-time faculty at
Mendocino College. The Executive Board consists of
President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and three
(3) at-large representatives of the Association. The

Willits Center Pt. Arena Research
Station The Mendocino-Lake Community College
District was formed in 1972, with the first classes at what
was then called Gateway Community College offered the
following year at the Ukiah County Fairgrounds. The
Lake County Center opened in 1974, and the Willits Center in
1977. Ground was broken for a permanent Ukiah location in
1983. The Point Arena Field Station is
located on the Mendocino County coast between the city of
Point Arena and the Point Arena lighthouse. The facility
includes 15 acres of coastal terrace and tidal study areas. The District boundaries encompass 3,200
square miles of service area, including
Anderson Valley, Laytonville, Potter Valley, Round Valley,
Ukiah, Willits, the Lake County Districts of Upper Lake,
Kelseyville, and Lakeport. In 1981 the name of the
District became Mendocino-Lake Community College District to
better reflect the geographical area being served. Mission Statement Mendocino College provides education to
our students and our communities by offering academic
programs, transfer preparation, career and technical
training, lifelong learning opportunities and student
support programs that are dedicated to the achievement of
student learning outcomes. Vision The vision of Mendocino College is to
be a major contributor to the vitality of our communities by
inspiring student learning and motivating personal
development. We strive to deliver excellent, innovative
educational and support programs that are accessible to all
and focus on student success.
